Top Ten Tuesday: Books I read because of a blogger

Hosted by That artsy reader girl.
The original prompt would be favourite short stories/novellas, but I don’t read those. All my time since I read, I read around 5 of them so I decided to do the prompt that was originally planned for last week but got changed. So my prompt for this week is the following: TTT Throwback.
It was kind of a freebie and after carefully scouring the previous prompts I decided on the one where you list the books you read because of another blogger’s review/recommendation/fan art and such. It was a pretty early one so I didn’t do the original post and I thought it would be fun and it was indeed.
Let’s be honest, there are a lot of times when a book gets onto my radar because of other bloggers but I don’t always read them. However, there were a couple of times when I read a book just solely based on the blogger review/recommendation and I put these book on the list. Unfortunately, I didn’t always love them but at least I tried.
Also, sorry I can’t tell you which blogger influenced me into reading a book because some of them are pretty old ‘recommendations’ so I don’t remember all of the bloggers and I think it would be unfair to mention some of them while not the others.

What do you do when you wake up in a hotel room beside a tattooed man with a face that makes Tom Hardy look like the bottom of a shoe ?
You fight through your tequila-induced haze, trip over his designer suit crumpled on the floor, and run.
After all, you’re 1500 miles from home. It’s not like you’ll ever see him again.
Unless you’re me.
Fast forward six months and I somehow find myself in the middle of a bet with Mr Tall, Dark, and Tattooed that includes me owing him four dates. Four dates with an arrogantly charming man who I know little about, what could possibly go wrong?
Oh, I don’t know, maybe falling asleep in his arms on date three and realizing I’m in love with a man who doesn’t even know my real name.

Review: Blood of the earth by Faith Hunter

Set in the same world as the New York Times bestselling Jane Yellowrock novels, an all-new series starring Nell Ingram, who wields powers as old as the earth.

When Nell Ingram met skinwalker Jane Yellowrock, she was almost alone in the world, exiled by both choice and fear from the cult she was raised in, defending herself with the magic she drew from her deep connection to the forest that surrounds her.

Now, Jane has referred Nell to PsyLED, a Homeland Security agency policing paranormals, and agent Rick LaFleur has shown up at Nell’s doorstep. His appearance forces her out of her isolated life into an investigation that leads to the vampire Blood Master of Nashville.

Nell has a team—and a mission. But to find the Master’s kidnapped vassal, Nell and the PsyLED team will be forced to go deep into the heart of the very cult Nell fears, infiltrating the cult and a humans-only terrorist group before time runs out…
