Top Ten Tuesday: Popular books that lived up to the hype

ttt

The prompt for this week is the following: Popular books that lived up to the hype.
If you ask me this is a tricky one. Why? Well, for one because every genre has a different audience and not all of them the same size, so while you would say the XY books is hyped then you compare it to other book with a bigger audience and it makes you doubt your initial statemant. Or there is the fact that not all of the books/series are hyped from the very beginning, there are sever which are hyped to the extremes nowdays but when I read them they were pretty lowkey and anonym, so do I count them on this list?? In the end I went with avarage rating and the fact that how much I heard about the book before I read it. I didn’t feel that I need to explain my choices but if you have uestions regarding them feel free to ask.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books with sensory reading memories

The prompt for this week is the following:  Books with sensory reading memories. Well, my best guess about the direction of this prompt is that it is books where I can remember something where, when I was reading it, something like that. Strangely I have a lot these and I really enjoyed doing this prompt. Most of them relate to places or times because the smells or feelings related ones only come back when I actually smell that scent again or have the same feeling kind of dejavu like.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books I read because of a blogger

ttt

The original prompt would be favourite short stories/novellas, but I don’t read those. All my time since I read, I read around 5 of them so I decided to do the prompt that was originally planned for last week but got changed. So my prompt for this week is the following: TTT Throwback.
It was kind of a freebie and after carefully scouring the previous prompts I decided on the one where you list the books you read because of another blogger’s review/recommendation/fan art and such. It was a pretty early one so I didn’t do the original post and I thought it would be fun and it was indeed.
Let’s be honest, there are a lot of times when a book gets onto my radar because of other bloggers but I don’t always read them. However, there were a couple of times when I read a book just solely based on the blogger review/recommendation and I put these book on the list. Unfortunately, I didn’t always love them but at least I tried.
Also, sorry I can’t tell you which blogger influenced me into reading a book because some of them are pretty old ‘recommendations’ so I don’t remember all of the bloggers and I think it would be unfair to mention some of them while not the others.

Top Ten Tuesday: Best books I read so far in 2018

ttt

The prompt for this week is the following: Best books I read so far in 2018. Basically, this is a Best of post just not for the whole year. It was a great and easy prompt because this year I read a couple of really great stories. Which means I even needed to carefully select just 10, originally I had about 15-17 books that could have been on this list. Anyway, there is no particular order among them, all of them are phenomenal for different reasons and I recommend to try them. I’m not going to go into detail about each and every one but I also going to link my reviews to the ones I already posted reviews for, hopefully, it will entice you into reading them. 🙂
There are just as many fantasies as contemporary because I read both equally and love both categories.

Top Ten Tuesday: My fave time-travel stories

ttt

The promt for this week is the following: Books with Red, White, & Blue Covers. So this promt just didn’t resonate with me at all. I tried with little to no success to stay with it but in the end I decided to simply change the topic. That’s how this came to. I was planning to do this particular list for the 12th the one about traveling but since I was on vacation back then it kinda got ignored. Alas it is a perfect time tio rectify it.
So I just love time travel romances/ stories especially the ones that jump back int a kindof medieval period. Don’t worry not all of my favorites are about knights and such not even all are exactly time travel ones. A couple of them are stories about not time traveling but a kind of dimensional travel. Anyway the baseline is the same someone from modern times gets droped into a unknown time, how will they navigate it? Without further ado my list:

Also Warning: There is one that can be a spoiler for those who are not up to date with the series . I’m going to put it at the very end after the covers so if you want you can avoid it!

Top Ten Tuesday: Series I given upon

ttt

The promt for this week is the following: Series I’ve Given Up On/Don’t Plan to Finish. This was actually easier than I thought it’s going to be. Because while I hate DNF-ing and I also don’t give upon a series just because I didn’t enjoy the first book as much I still had plenty of aformentioned series to pick from. I tried to be selective and not only choose series that I given upon because I hated the story but put in the list some that got axed for different reasons.
You know it kinda surprised me how many choices did I have for this promt but at the same time I was a bit glad as well because it is a step for the right direction of a managable TBR. Anyway here is my list.
