RATING

After reading the first book in the series there wasn’t any doubt in my head that I’m going to read the other books, too. A sin the case of the previous book the cover tells a lot about the story here, too. You just have to pay a little bit of attention to the details. Not to mention it’s a pretty eye catching cover at that.

Alien Tango takes place around 5 months after the first story. During this time Kitty got used to her new life and job, her relationship with Jeff is blooming and the ‘superbeing’ problem is also under control for the moment. They are in the typical quite calm before the storm kind of situation they just don’t realize it yet. In this story the bad guys are human not aliens. If the political power plays, the ex-boyfriend resurfacing and the appearance of a radical anti-alien group that threatens the AC-s wouldn’t be enough problems to solve fro Kitty, she also has to meet the in-law for the first time. There is not a better time to get to know them than amongst flying bullets.

The introduction of the Martini family is a really positive addition to the plot; I hope they become a permanent fixture of the team. It was really interesting how Jeff interacted with his family. His parents represented two sides of a coin, they are complete opposites of each other yet they are perfect together.
However they are not the only new characters in the story. One of the most important of them is Chuckie who finally steps out of the shadows and reveals his true occupation which causes a huge surprise for everybody.

A lot of other character starts to reveal themselves whom the part of the hidden conspiracy our team doesn’t know yet. A lot of attack against the AC starts to makes sense thanks to these revelations. A lot of puzzle piece gets into place.

This story has a lot more action scene and describes a completely different situation with different circumstances which leads to the unleashing of Kitty crazy imagination. Also the humor is even more prominent in this book if it possible. The author has an exceptional talent to create these kind of funny yet not comedic storylines. my favorite chapter is the one with the alligators that one is some kind of frenetic.
I’m a bit worried about the speed of Kitty and Jeff relationship development. However it’s kind of like Jeff said i tat their first meeting. Their relationship is fierce and torrid, there is an insane attraction between them and they work well together. The scenes between them loosen up the crazy space of the plot a bit.

Once again a wonderful story even better than the first one.
