I love werewolves stories, they’re my favorite supernatural beings, but this book just didn’t clicked for me.
For one it only shows a small amount of the supernatural aspect of the story until almost the very end of the book and not to much of it there either. It’s really obvious that something more than normal is going on from the first chapter and I just waited and waited for it to get revealed, but nothing happened. It killed a story for me a little, was like a really annoying itch when you can’t find the exact spot.
Then there is the woke Sarah thing which is really messed up and honestly stupidly sacrificial and forgiving from Jessie part.
OH! And you know the huge revelation at the end of book?? Well that was so predictable from the first mention of the wolf attack that it hurts.
And beside the story doesn’t really explain the hows and whys of the werewolves, so we can’t understand the way presented world works. The whole existence of weres felt like kind of an afterthought.
I probably going to give a try for second book, because I don’t like to give up on serieses just after the first book. But the when is the big question since don’t see a big chance liking it just now.
